Tournament rulesFor the tournament to be a success, we need participants to abide by the tournament rules. We reserve the right to remove or exclude any participant from the tournament at any point if they fail to abide by the tournament rules. If at any point the rules are changed, an announcement will be posted in the
News & Announcements forum. All participants will be expected to check up on and abide by rule updates.
General informationSeedingsDepending upon how many sign-up for the tournament, either the top 32 or 64 players will be seeded. Seedings will be determined by the power rating on the account you registered for the tournament with.

Sign-ups: 19th December - 6th January
Round 1: 6th January - 16th January
Round 2: 16th January - 25th January
Round 3: 25th January - 1st February
Round 4: 1st February - 8th February
Round 5: 8th February - 15th February
Round 6: 15th February - 22nd February
Round 7: 22nd February - 1st March
Each round finishes at 23 GMT on the specified days. You must have played and posted your games by that time.
These dates may be subject to change if round extensions push other rounds back. In the event of changes to the round dates, an announcement will be posted in the
News & Announcements forum.
Signing up for the tournamentSign-ups are to be conducted via the
sign-ups topic. You must sign-up for yourself if you are playing - you cannot sign-up another person.
Scheduling your gamesAll players will be required to schedule their games in our
scheduling forums. Please read the scheduling guidelines topic that is pinned in each of the scheduling forums - it sets out the proper method for scheduling a game.
Playing your gamesEach round you will be matched up against 1 opponent with whom you will need to play a best-of-3 series. This means that one of you will need to win 2 out of 3 games to progress to the next round.
Adherence to round datesIf you and your opponent fail to play any or all of your games, an administrative decision will be made as to who proceeds to the next round. This decision will be based upon who made the most effort to schedule and play the games.
Recorded gamesAll games
must be recorded and posted in the
Recorded Games forum. The winner must be the one to post the games.
DisputesIf you have any disputes, send a private message to [NerVe]_VipeR_ rather than post it in the forums.

Players without TWC content:
In the event that any of the two players in a match-up have just AoE3 and TAD installed (without TWC), then they must choose 'Standard Maps'.
PrizesThe prizes for the $500 Fan Patch 1.0 Tournament are as follows:
1st: US$300
2nd: US$150
3rd: US$50
Prizes will be distributed using Paypal. We accept no responsibility for any loss of funds in transfer. Funds can only be distributed using Paypal.
Players must claim their prize within 60 days of the conclusion of the tournament. Claiming of prizes is defined as having provided the site administration with their Paypal account details, and having then received the prize. The conclusion of the tournament is defined as the time at which the final tournament results are posted in the 'Site News and Rules' forum. If they have not claimed the prize within 60 days, their prize will be reintroduced to the tournament fund and will no longer be available to them.
Grounds for removal from tournament- If you have been excluded from all AgeSanctuary tournaments previously, and we find you competing in the $500 Fan Patch 1.0 Tournament, you will be removed from the tournament.
- If you are banned from AgeSanctuary, and we find you competing in the $500 Fan Patch 1.0 Tournament, you will be removed from the tournament and once again banned from the site.
- If you get someone to log on to your account and play your games for you, both you
and the person who logged on to your account to play the games in question will be removed from the $500 Fan Patch 1.0 Tournament.
- If you are found to be using any sort of cheat, you will be removed from the $500 Fan Patch 1.0 Tournament, excluded from all future AgeSanctuary tournaments, and banned from the site.
- If you are using more than 1 account to play in the $500 Fan Patch 1.0 Tournament, all of those accounts which you are playing under will be removed from the tournament.
- If you deliberately uninstall TWC so as to prevent your opponent from using a TWC civilization, you will be removed from the $500 Fan Patch 1.0 Tournament.
